A large contractor is seeking a Site Manager to work on a major Smart Motorway in Southampton. This role is to start as soon as possible and will run for at least 8 weeks with the possibility of a contract extension for the right candidate.
Duties:
- Monitor and drive SHE performance on-site, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Ensure everyone understands the project objectives, clients’ needs and are working to them.
- Manage direct reports and site teams, reviewing their performance, duties and support their development.
- Manage, review and drive resourced Construction Schedule ensuring all the Team is aware of the critical path, each other’s work, and any changes.
- Play a key role in driving value engineering on the project.
- Manage risks and opportunities by regular input into project risk register, ensuring mitigation and action plans are being worked to, updated and communicated.
