We are looking for a site/setting out engineer to join a sub-contractor working on bulk earthworks projects in Suffolk. The project duration will be approximately 3 months depending on weather/progress and the client is looking for a candidate who is able to setout confidently but will also consider candidates with limited experience as training can be provided.
The day to day role will involve;
- Working alongside the Site Manager/Supervisor to maintain the smooth running of site operations.
- Setout of dig perimeters and taking asbuilt records of installed panels using Trimble GPS
- Setting up Trimble UTS for use with machine control
- Completing land surveys
- Producing panel layout plans using AutoCAD
- Site record keeping including daily diaries and progress reports
Ideal candidates will have;
- a valid CSCS card
- Experience using AutoCAD and Trimble GPS, however, training can be provided if required
Sites are often located in rural/industrial areas so candidates will need to be open to travel options outside of public transport.
