Carmichael are looking for a Social Value Coordinator Apprentice to join the team based in Milton Keynes.

This role will support our mission to create positive impacts to communities disrupted by the construction works. Fully supported by the Social Value Manager, you will become a key part on “delivering more than a railway” by engaging with different stakeholders to create positive outcomes. The job is varied and a key strategic outcome for the business.

You will be working closely with our construction teams, you will support the Social Value Manager to coordinate Social Value projects that create a positive legacy for communities close to our works. You will also support the audit programme for Considerate Constructors Scheme and organise and manage volunteering days.   

This position will monitor, measure and report on social value outcomes achieved on the project using  Sustainability Tool and PowerBI (training will be provided on both). You will be responsible for producing quarterly reporting of social value activities to the client and our construction team and work with the supply chain to promote collaboration on social value projects. You will also produce project case studies using the case study template.

As a Social Value Coordinator Apprentice, you will work in partnership with our Labour Desk to develop and deliver programmes across employability and community engagement that secure legacy impacts. You will also support the collection of information for annual CSR report and maintain a log with expenditure to report back to Finance teams.

Alongside your role, you’ll study for a Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability qualification, equipping you with all the skills and knowledge to excel in your career.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook) is desirable
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Flexibility to travel and work from different locations
  • Attention to detail
