We are recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major rail infrastructure, drainage, and rail asset renewal schemes across London and the South East.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term programme of works involving rail civils, drainage upgrades, asset renewals, trackside infrastructure, and maintenance projects for some of the UK's most important rail networks.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing sections of work from planning through to delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver rail infrastructure, drainage, and asset renewal works.
- Manage engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers on site.
- Produce and review RAMS, ITPs, work package plans, and construction programmes.
- Monitor project costs, productivity, and progress against programme.
- Coordinate site activities while maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
- Ensure quality assurance processes and documentation are completed.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and operational teams throughout project delivery.
- Support commercial activities including change management and compensation events.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sub Agent on rail or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of rail civils, drainage works, and rail asset renewals.
- Experience working under Network Rail standards and procedures.
- Good understanding of NEC contracts.
- Background managing multidisciplinary site teams.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and PTS certifications preferred.
- Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills.
