A great opportunity exists, inside IR35, for a Sub Agent with extensive highways experience to work for a tier one contractor on a highways project.
You will lead and control a section of the works, according to a specific discipline. As well as managing a team of Section and Site Engineers within same discipline.
Duties include but not limited to -
- Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments and makes improvements as appropriate
- Carries out field audits and confirms the sufficiency of control documentation
- Production and implementation of Permits to Work, specifically Confined Space Permits and Hot Works Permits
- Strong understanding of temporary works and timescales for implementation into the works
- Monitor and train Engineers in technical requirements & setting out
- Carries out Independent Inspections of their own section and of others
- Carries out Site Audits to check works and documentation compliance
- Manage subcontractors
- Maintains accurate diary, including dialogue with external organisations (subcontractors)
- Produces a budget from the resourced programme and monitors / reviews weekly costs
- Involved in the procurement of subcontractors
Requirements for this position -
- Extensive highways engineering experience, preferably for a tier one contractor
- Experience managing a section of works on a highways project
- Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent would be beneficial
- Safety Critical Medical
- AutoCAD
- First Aid
