Carmichaels are recruiting a Sub Agent to work on the Early Environmental Works on the HS2 project to deliver Environmental works from the West Midlands to Crewe. These works include assisting HS2 with possessing the land, managing subcontractor ecology surveys and subcontractor fencing of the land boundaries
The works will create a number of new environmental habitats along the 64-kilometre section of Europe’s largest infrastructure project, including woodland and wetlands.
Roles and Responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordination of staff within the package delivery teams.
- Responsibility for combining reports for the entire package.
- 4 weekly production of the rolling programme and subsequent recording of this along with asbuilt.
- Ensuring the timely delivery and sign off for CDM Control Points in advance of works.
- Promoting Safe Systems of Work with the supply chain
- Forward planning to ensure all consents and permits are in place to deliver works.
- Managing ecology and construction activities
- Managing interfaces with other packages and third parties.
- Holistic support for Senior Project Engineers with supply chain management.
- Driving package delivery to achieve programme.
- Participating in and chairing weekly meetings, reporting and assisting the project controls function.
- Capturing change and ensuring all records are maintained for recovery of costs.
- Liaising with client and maintaining positive working relationships
