Position Overview: The Permanent Sub-Agent position in Milton Keynes offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful execution of construction projects in the region. As a Sub-Agent, you will play a vital role in assisting the Project Manager and Senior Team with the management, coordination, and supervision of construction activities. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication will be essential in ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Support:

    • Assist the Project Manager in the overall planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
    • Collaborate with various teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project progression.
    • Monitor project progress, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions to maintain project timeline and quality standards.
  2. Site Supervision:

    • Regularly visit the construction site to oversee work progress, adherence to safety protocols, and quality control.
    • Coordinate with site personnel to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
    • Identify and address any on-site issues that may impact project delivery.
  3. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including site reports, progress reports, and relevant correspondence.
    • Generate comprehensive reports detailing project status, challenges, and solutions for review by the Project Manager and Senior Team.
  4. Quality Control:

    • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential defects or discrepancies and take appropriate corrective measures.
  5. Communication:

    • Establish effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
    • Attend project meetings and provide clear updates on project progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
  6. Health and Safety:

    • Promote a strong safety culture on the construction site, ensuring that all personnel adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
    • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly and participate in safety audits as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in construction project management or site supervision.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and their implementation on construction sites.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
