Carmichael UK are seeking an Sub Agent to work within a Roads & Networks team at Hinkley Point C. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the package of works, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate and supervise site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams, to ensure smooth operations and timely project delivery.
  • Provide strong leadership to the site team, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential issues or risks, and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop and update project plans, progress reports, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives and milestones.
  • Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the course of the project, maintaining positive working relationships.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Agent or similar role in the construction industry, preferably on infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and site management practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to the project site as required.
