Sub Agent – HS2 (Northamptonshire)
Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a major HS2 project in Northamptonshire. Reinforced concrete experience is highly desirable.
The Role:
As a Sub Agent, you will play a key role in the project’s construction strategy, ensuring smooth delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with construction planning, including kick-off meetings and pre-commencement documentation (Method Statements, Environmental & Quality Plans, Programmes, Procurement, and Design Schedules).

Collaborating with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate resources, including labour, plant, materials, and temporary works.

Managing the site engineering team, overseeing performance, and supporting the development of Site and Section Engineers.

Ensuring all construction activities align with contract requirements and meet safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.

Contributing to programme production, progress reports, resource & cost planning, financial forecasting, and cost control.
About You:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with the following qualifications:

HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and working towards ICE membership.

Strong background in civil engineering and site management, ideally with reinforced concrete experience.

Full UK driving licence and own transport (required for remote site access).

Valid certifications, including:

SMSTS or SSSTS

CSCS (White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager, or Gold - Supervisor)
