Our client is responsible for delivering the £965m Chilterns Tunnels and Colne Valley Viaduct contract as part of a section of the new High Speed Rail link between London and Birmingham. The role will be based initially from Euston, then next year when the site mobilises from Maple Cross.
You will be joining one of the tier one principal contractors that are part of the JV.
They have an opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer / Sub Agent to join their construction team to take in charge the site installations works of the main compound of the project.
The Project Engineer / Sub Agent will be in charge of the following scopes of works:

Site compound: general site fencing & securing, haul roads

Site establishments: earthworks, drainage, utilities, civil works, site amenities & M&E

Site assets: utilities, civil works, building erection & M&E
The work will involve:

Detailed programme of the works

Liaise with design/methods departments to carry out detailed design drawings

Liaise with client representative and designers over design issues/changes
-
Writing Quality control, ITP’s
-
Writing CPP’s WPP’s and TB’s
-
Management of temporary works supervisors, labour and plant
-
Management of sub-contractors
-
Monitoring Safety, Toolbox talks
-
Writing weekly/ monthly programs of work
The Person - Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
-
Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering
-
Knowledge of setting up site including management of logistics
-
Experience of civil engineering projects including Earthworks, drainage, utilities, civil works, building erection & commissioning
-
Experience of tunnelling would be an advantage
