Sub Agent – Central Station
About the section of work
Construction of a 200m long, 20m wide, 10m deep station for the Luton DART project. The station build consists of both top-down and bottom-up construction and includes complex permanent and temporary works including the underpinning of the main pedestrian footbridge into the airport to span the incoming tunnel.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for
- Assisting in the development and management of permanent and temporary works solutions through to delivery on site
- Management of the engineering team on site to ensure efficient delivery and quality control of the works
- Management of subcontractors’ programme & production
- Co-ordination of construction activities in a logistically challenging construction area
- Budget forecasting and monitoring in line with the overall project budget for both self delivered and subcontracted works
- Programme forecasting and monitoring in line with the contract programme
- Managing interface of construction activities with the Airport & production of interface plans
- Reviewing ITPs, RAMS + ensuring all QA documentation is correctly produced and collated
- Managing and reporting of health and safety on site
- Experience in Reinforced Concrete, temporary propping and excavation works preferable.
- Temporary Works experience preferable and would ideally be qualified TWC
Experience:
- Previously worked as a sub agent on a major civils and/or infrastructure project
- You have experience in temporary works, building, large concrete structures
- You have worked on high value (£100m+) projects with main contractor
- Hold a valid CSCS card
- BSc or BEng level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC/HND or the equivalent.
