CarmichaelUK are working with the HS2 Main Works JV in London who are looking for a D-Wall supervisors to join their teams at Based Northholt & South Ruislip.

Reporting to the Works Manager the D Wall Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the  D Wall Works on site. Supporting the subcontractor the D Wall Supervisor shall be accountable for the safe delivery of the works, maintaining quality records and comprehensive records of the activities on site, including identifying delays and changes on site.

Role Responsibility

  • Managing day to day activities of the Diaphragm wall contractor.
  • Ensure quality. safety and productivity of D wall operations meets highest standards.
  • Assist in coordinating activities at VRCB - Daily briefing, change of handovers etc..
  • Input into 4-weekly programmes with site engineers and simple benchmark productivity measures for the workforce and assess actual programme and productivity achieved for review at weekly progress meetings to include resource requirements.
  • Assist Complete inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works ensuring that all necessary documentation, as required by these statements and plans, is produced in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with works managers, foremen, gangers, workforce and sub-contractors to ensure full understanding of information provided.
  • Communicate to the QA and QS teams non-conformances, and any instructions received from the client / designer / RE’s staff. Ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintained.
  • Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance and records of work related discussions with client / designer / RE / project team.
  • Adherence to project policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring health and safety is given the highest priority in the delivery of the works
  • Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
  • Ensure that the Health Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce and implemented
  • Work collaboratively with the HS2 team and other contractors, subcontractors works packages to achieve the overall project goals

The Ideal Candidate

  • CSCS card (Black or Gold)
  • First Aid
  • Experience working on piling and/or Diaphragm Wall / D-Wall
  • SMSTS / SSSTS
  • Main Contractor experience as well as major project experience
