Carmichael UK are seeking a permanent surveyor for a major tunnelling project in Snowdonia. You will be responsible for the monitoring and surveying activities on site in a safe and efficient way
About the role:
- Liaise with the client to check the setting out information being used is the latest available.
- Provide surveys of the completed works.
- Provide the existing site control to the construction team, and / or establishing site control where required.
- Prepare the setting out details and upload / downloading to instruments and computers.
- Ensure data, reports and/or drawings of setting out and as-built surveys are produced accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure difficult setting out tasks and dimensional check of elements are delivered with high
- accuracy requirements
- Compile and archive raw and processed data accurately for audit purposes.
- Coordinate the survey and monitoring works in accordance with the survey and monitoring Managers
- Collaborate with Site Engineers and provide support, training and supervision in surveying and monitoring tasks
- Illustrate, review and assess monitoring results, ensuring action is taken as appropriate
- Produce calculations for tunnelling survey
- Coordination of all monitoring data flow from automatic to real time monitoring device
- Coordination of installation and maintenance of monitoring devices
- Liaise with the construction team in setting out purposes
- Apply technical and practical skills to implement the requirements of drawings and specifications
- Ensure work is produced within clear guidelines, set goals and strive to achieve required results consistently
- Review actions, identify and report efficiency and process improvements
About You:

Advanced geodetic surveying and deformation monitoring skills

Civil Engineering Degree or similar with at least 3 years of experience

Clear understanding of the requirements of setting out to satisfy the construction team and meet the quality requirements

Good knowledge of legislation, hazards and safe systems of work

Ability to manage health and safety and welfare within own area of responsibility

Ability to prioritise objectives and capable of completing work to deadlines

Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, and the integrity to develop trust and respect

Strong technical capability and leadership skills

Knowledge of risk assessment and method statements
Salary is negotiable. You must be able to live in Snowdonia and hold a full UK driving license to get to site
