Temporary Works Coordinator – RAF Brize Norton – 4 Month Contract – Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join a specialist site team on a 4-month borehole investigation project at RAF Brize Norton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Works professional with a strong background in civil engineering, geotechnical works, ground investigation, drilling, or infrastructure projects to support the safe planning, coordination, and implementation of temporary works activities on a high-profile defence sector scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all temporary works activities in accordance with BS 5975.
  • Ensure temporary works are properly designed, reviewed, approved, and implemented.
  • Maintain the Temporary Works Register and associated documentation.
  • Liaise with site management, engineers, designers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor compliance with temporary works procedures and best practice.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure temporary works are installed and removed safely.
  • Support the delivery of borehole and ground investigation works across the project.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC).
  • Temporary Works Coordinator training/certification.
  • Experience within civil engineering, groundworks, geotechnical, drilling, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of BS 5975 and temporary works procedures.
  • SMSTS preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and work within a secure MOD environment.

Desirable

  • Previous experience on MOD, aviation, defence, or secure infrastructure projects.
  • Ground investigation or borehole project experience.
  • First Aid and CSCS qualifications.
