Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join a specialist site team on a 4-month borehole investigation project at RAF Brize Norton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Works professional with a strong background in civil engineering, geotechnical works, ground investigation, drilling, or infrastructure projects to support the safe planning, coordination, and implementation of temporary works activities on a high-profile defence sector scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all temporary works activities in accordance with BS 5975.
- Ensure temporary works are properly designed, reviewed, approved, and implemented.
- Maintain the Temporary Works Register and associated documentation.
- Liaise with site management, engineers, designers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor compliance with temporary works procedures and best practice.
- Conduct inspections and ensure temporary works are installed and removed safely.
- Support the delivery of borehole and ground investigation works across the project.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC).
- Temporary Works Coordinator training/certification.
- Experience within civil engineering, groundworks, geotechnical, drilling, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of BS 5975 and temporary works procedures.
- SMSTS preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to obtain and work within a secure MOD environment.
Desirable
- Previous experience on MOD, aviation, defence, or secure infrastructure projects.
- Ground investigation or borehole project experience.
- First Aid and CSCS qualifications.
