Carmichael are currently recruiting for a Temporary Works Coordinator to work on a major infrastructure project.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for ensuring that all temporary works are identified, classified and their risk assessed and managed in accordance with the Temporary Works Management processes.
- Identify and coordinate the production of temporary works designs, design checks and interfacing documents (form C’s – NR etc) as applicable.
- Be aware of applicable Rail and Construction standards and ensure designs comply
- Produce drawings for construction team to build from.
- Ensure all temporary works design is completed and approved as required before commencement of works on site
- Carry out site inspections as required; review working practices, and advise construction team. Intervene in site activities if of the TW process is not being followed and not allow work to continue until they have been complied with.
- Maintain the temporary works schedule.
- Liaise with the permanent works designer where the TW affect the permanent structure
- Ensure the company engage competent temporary works designers through the supply chain. Maintain schedule of designers and their competence.
Ideally the Temporary Works Manager will have 5+ years post graduate experience and proven design knowledge having worked as a Temporary Works Coordinator on complex projects in the past.
