A long term, freelance opportunity, outside or IR35 exists for an experience Temporary Works coordinator. Your experience leading the management of temporary works from conception to dismantling in accordance with BS5975 is sought after.
Duties will include –
- Appointment of Temporary Works Designers and Design Checkers.
- Categorisation of all temporary works, ensuring adequate design and design checks are completed, supervision and assurance of installation of temporary works, ensuring required temporary works permits are issued by competent individuals.
- Auditing and assurance of the supply chain to ensure sufficient management of temporary works on site and all required documentation is completed.
- Ensuring all scaffold installations are suitably covered by appropriate temporary works assessments and permits.
- Ensuring all lifting operations are suitably covered by appropriate temporary works assessments and permits.
- Maintaining the Temporary Works Register.
- Liaising with the supply chain to ensure all temporary works are adequately planned and the required supervision is in place.
- Procurement and maintenance of temporary works equipment as required.
- Keep abreast of best practice developments in the temporary works professional and/or industrial field and communication of these through the delivery team and supply chain.
- Set the highest example for health and safety requirements.
Requirements for this opportunity include –
- CITB Temporary works coordinator qualification
- Working knowledge of BS5975
- Previous experience managing and coordinating temporary works including scaffolding and lift operations.
- Temporary works design experience for outrigger mat sizes and foundation design advantageous
- AutoCAD, SMSTS, EUSR water hygiene
- CPCS AP Lifting operations A61 accredited or able to become accredited.
