An excellent opportunity exists for a T-RAM Lead, on a nuclear decommissioning project.

Job role is as follows - 

Working as part of a Joint Venture (JV) on an EPCC project, working on delivery and completion of the Throughput, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (T-RAM) activities and production of deliverables.

The T-RAM Lead will manage an existing, mature team of 5 engineers to ensure the T-RAM aspect of the project is delivered to an agreed budget, schedule and quality targets as defined in the project approved schedule, Execution Strategy and design quality plans. The role will require working closely with the Intelligent Customer (IC) to ensure the TRAM requirements for the JV design have been met.

The role will require support to the project in guidance of the T-RAM requirements, proactive and reactive requirements for deliverables and shall require conformance with the T-RAM Execution Strategy.

The project is undertaking a progressive approach to T-RAM assurance through to project handover. Substantial work has been completed, such as the Interim TRAM Case however as the design nears completion and vendor information becomes available, these will need reviewing and updating to ensure they are in line with the overall design and close out any remaining actions.

Work to project completion will ensure the T-RAM case integrity by:

  • Preparing maintenance strategies for plant systems.
  • Preparing T-RAM declarations for plant systems.
  • Closing out T-RAM actions.
  • Advising and liaison with engineering, operations, client, modellers and others,  to ensure T-RAM performance requirements are met.
  • Revising operational risk assessments.
  • Update of RAM data and RAM models.
  • Assessing equipment performance at factory and site.
  • Assessing Plant design changes as required.
  • Assurance of vendor Designs and testing.
  • Update of other T-RAM documents as required

 

Requirements for this position - 

  • Ability to manage an engineering/technical team
  • Experience of working within or supporting a design team
  • Strong technical background in a relevant discipline, such as reliability, process, or mechanical engineering.
  • Desire to develop engineering management and/or T-RAM engineering skills
  • Preferable experience in reliability engineering such as Failure Mode Effect and Criticality analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) studies, Reliability Modelling, Maintenance Plans, and risk assessments
  • Relevant professional engineering qualification.
  • Preferable experience with engineering budget controls, progress reporting and document management.
