I’m seeking a Utilities Coordinator to work for am Main Joint Venture on HS2. This is a long term freelance role based in Birmingham.
Description of Activities to be undertaken
- Have a thorough knowledge of all utilities sector across all utility assets, including power, gas, electricity, water and sewers
- Work with all members of the JV team to provide advice and support on all elements of the utilities processes and requirements
- Provide Project Management for the Non-contestable Utilities enabling works. Monitoring milestones with management and mitigation of all risks and issues relating to Utilities works
- Develop a positive working relationship with all relevant stakeholders including; utility companies, HS2 and the JV’s delivery team and supply chain
- Provide proactive community engagement support for all EWC activities
- Identify and share potential risks and value engineering opportunities
- Provide budget control relating to utilities activities and support the financial approvals process for the JV and HS2
- Have good knowledge and understanding of the Undertakings and Assurances, relevant to the utilities along with proposed solutions.
- Act as a role model for the JV’s vision and values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with Fusion's Ways of Working. Encourage and support others to do so too.
- Promote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behaviour when interacting with colleagues
- Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction. Never knowingly put the JV’s information or information systems at risk.
Minimum Qualifications Needed for Role
- Previous experience as a Utilities Coordinator
- Oracle Primavera P6 Project Management
- Prince 2
- A Degree, Bachelors, MSc or HND in Civil Engineering
