Carmichael are recruiting for a Work Pack Engineer, with solid experience in Process Plant and Equipment, M&E and Fit-Out, to join a tier one client on a large-scale defence project.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will become a vital part of the Project Management team, covering all non-Mechanical and Electrical supply aspects of the scope, including RC, doors and Process Plant and Equipment.

You MUST be able to obtain security clearance for this role. 5 years continuous residency in the UK and UK Citizenship is required. 

 

Responsibilities will include - 

  • Review of all available documentation and drawings to gain an in depth understanding of the works involved
  • Ensuring all required Work Packs are in place prior to works commencing on site
  • Supporting the Construction Manager in ensuring adherence to the Programme
  • Supporting the Construction Manager and owning and developing own short term Cell Programmes
  • Interaction with various stakeholders, client, designer, engineering, commercial etc. to ensure the timely close out of constraints and blockers
  • Attendance at Construction Sequencing sessions and supporting the co-ordination of activities on site
  • Direct engagement with supply chain site teams to ensure works can progressMonitoring and reporting against progress
  • Ensuring compliance with all Work Pack Documentation for a right first time outcome
  • Weekly reporting against progress and review of forecast works to be completed across the following 4 weeks.

 

Requriements for this position - 

  • The ability to understand the scope of the works and can identify change
  • Engineering/Construction qualification
  • Valid CSCS card
  • SMSTS/TWC/Lifting AP preferred
  • Prior experience in defence or similar high assurance level projects preferred
  • Able to promote the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement, driving innovation, adopting best practice, standard processes and procedures
