A freelance opportunity has come up for an experienced Works Manager with expertise in the construction of underground projects which include tunneling or shaft sinking.

Duties include –
- Daily and weekly resources planning including materials and equipment
- Managing and tasking of Supervisors and subcontractors
- Contributing to the construction process
- Solving or escalating technical queries
- Completing and managing all site administration and reporting
- Overseeing daily tool box talks and inductions
- Implementing health and safety procedures
- Daily interaction with Engineering personnel
Requirements for this role include –
- Extensive continuous tunnel/shaft sinking or TBM experience
- Proven ability to manage large teams as a Works Manager
- Proven ability to complete projects in time and to the required standard
- Civil engineering/mining qualification is advantageous but not essential
