An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Works Superintendent experienced in Civil /Structural works to join a leading main contractor on a prestigious airports upgrade project in South London.
You will be responsible for ensuring project delivery and enabling the execution of the construction programme, the planning, monitoring and management of construction activities and all Health and Safety aspects.
Works will involve delivery of major structural / civil packages and is expected to last a minimum of 6 months.
The successful candidate will need to possess:
- Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of engineering disciplines, construction technologies and jobsite management. Preferable that the candidate has knowledge and experience of building construction from foundations to MEP installation to architectural fit out.
- Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan, Core Processes and Standard Work Process Procedures.
- Knowledge of the Project Construction Environmental Control Plan. Awareness of environmental compliance laws and requirements.
- Experience in complex stakeholder management and negotiation.
- Knowledge of cross functional work processes and interface knowledge, especially Project Controls, Supply Chain management, Quality management and the ability to manage the relationships/interfaces with management and functional groups.
Essential Skills Required:
- Experience managing large scale structural / civil / fitout works packages for a main contractor – preferably in Airports environment
- A Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or Equivalent HNC
- Valid CSCS card
- Previously worked as an Superintendent with a main contractor
